The Retiro holds the city's best-known park, Parque del Buen Retiro, and best known museum, the Museo del Prado, and the neighborhood’s borders extend to its east and west. The area on the opposite side of the park is livelier and more casual with plentiful tapas bars and mom-and-pop restaurants.
