In this budget-minded annex to the Argyll Hotel, across the road on Sauchiehall Street, the rooms are plainly furnished but scrupulously clean. This is a no-frills option, as the price suggests. For that same reason, it's wise to book ahead if you can. The full Scottish breakfast, served in the restaurant in the larger parent establishment, is quite hearty. The staff is friendly and helpful, but parking is difficult on the main road, where charges apply from 9 am.
